My new series, Lucid Phantasies, is all about diving into that space where reality and imagination collide in our minds. You know those moments when you’re not quite sure if you’re awake or dreaming?
I draw inspiration from the world around me and the one inside my head, but it all gets twisted by whatever I’m feeling at the time. The result? These offbeat, organic shapes that feel like they could’ve been plucked straight out of nature, but drenched in colors that’ll make your eyes pop.
When I’m working on these pieces, it often feels like I’ve lost control. My hands seem to have a mind of their own, creating these random, impossible marks filled with crazy energy. But somehow, it all comes together to form these lush, intimate worlds. They’re pure fantasy - the kind of places you wish you could step into and explore.
Despite the chaos, there’s a clarity to it all. It’s like waking up from a vivid dream and remembering every detail. These Lucid Phantasies are my crystal-clear visions of a world where anything is possible, where beauty runs wild and free. It’s been a wild ride creating them, and I hope they take you on a journey too.
